Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and there are lots of things to do this weekend in Sarasota! You can enjoy everything from live music to a food truck festival and more. There are even a few fitness-related upcoming events in Sarasota to check out, just in time for swimsuit season!

Friday, May 27th: Live Music in the Park
If you’re looking for things to do in Sarasota at night this weekend, check out Live Music In the Park this Friday. From 7 to 9 p.m. you can enjoy jazz performer Jamie Tremps at Café In the Park, a favorite casual diner for city residents.
Café In the Park has a full menu of freshly prepared and organic items you’re sure to love. Saturday-Sunday, May 28th-29th: St. Armands Fine Arts Festival
Whether you love browsing fine art or need some great gift ideas, check out the St. Armands Fine Arts Festival this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can peruse a wide selection of paintings, sculptures, and more. This outdoor gallery is one of the best in the state and one you’re sure to enjoy as well!

Saturday, May 28th: Zumba with Yael
It’s time to get into shape and get ready for the beach! If you’re searching for a great way to get your heart pumping and your body moving, check out Zumba with Yael this Saturday. Zumba is a great choice for burning calories and stretching your muscles and this weekend’s class is sure to please no matter your fitness levels.

Saturday, May 28th: Namaste at the Bay
If you want to find more fitness-related upcoming events in Sarasota, check out Namaste at the Bay this Saturday. This gentle yoga class, starting at 9 a.m., can help you relax and focus while providing an excellent stretching routine for everyone.

Saturday, May 28th: U-pick Blueberries & Sunflowers
Get some fresh air this weekend while also stocking up on fresh blueberries and stunning sunflowers at Albritton Fruit Farms. You can pick your own fresh fruit and blooming sunflowers at this beautiful family farm that’s a favorite with locals.
Blueberries are $6.50 per pound and sunflowers just $2 per stem. Cash and credit card are both accepted. An RSVP is not required but the farm does appreciate it, so they know how many pickers to expect. For more information, check out the farm’s website:

Saturday, May 28th: SRQ Vets Memorial Day Hike
Are you looking for some things to do in Sarasota with kids this weekend? If so, check out the SRQ Vets Memorial Day Hike. This 5K hike honors the country’s fallen heroes while also offering a great event for the entire family.
The walk starts at JD Hamel War Memorial Park, will make its way through downtown Sarasota, and then head back to the park. Saturday, May 28th: Food Truck Rally
It wouldn’t be Memorial Day without some great foods to enjoy! This weekend you can join a local food truck rally at Big Top Brewers Collective, featuring a great lineup of local vendors you’re sure to love. The event runs from noon to 10 p.m. and is FREE to attend, with food prices varying by truck.

Sunday, May 29th: Memorial Day Pool Party
Along with enjoying great food, there is no better way to celebrate Memorial Day than with a pool party! This weekend you can hit the waves at Perspective Rooftop Pool Bar in Sarasota. Ages 21 and up are invited to enjoy the sparkling water, some great refreshments, and music by DJ Racquetclub 1988.
