Friday-Saturday, February 4th-5th: Village of the Arts Sounds of the Village
Held in nearby Bradenton, Village of the Arts: Sounds of the Village is a favorite monthly event for residents and visitors alike. Village of the Arts hosts a great collection of local street artists, museums, and shops ready for you to enjoy.
Sounds of the Village brings together musicians and performers, making your tour of the Village even more enjoyable! Visit the village this weekend to enjoy live music on Friday from 6 to 9:30 p.m., and then again on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday-Saturday, February 4th-5th: Street Car Takeover
Also held in nearby Bradenton, the Street Car Takeover is a great choice for muscle and racing car enthusiasts everywhere! Enjoy hours of drag and roll racing fun, and get up close and personal with many of the drivers as well.
This event includes lots of cash prizes for drivers, so you know the participants will be giving it their all for the entire weekend! Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday for spectators. Saturday, February 5th: Sarasota Highland Games & Celtic Festival
If you need some things to do in Sarasota with kids, take them to the 27th annual Sarasota Highland Games & Celtic Festival this weekend! This Saturday, you can enjoy classic Highland sports and entertainment unlike anything you’ve seen before. You might check out a caber toss, hammer throws, and stone putting, similar to shot put tournaments.
Of course, there will also be lots of Scottish music for you to enjoy. Every year there are also plenty of car enthusiasts on hand, showing off their muscle cars, hotrods, and other classics. Saturday, February 5th: Yoga by the Bay with Erin
Are you ready for some fitness weekend events in 2022? If your new year’s resolution includes getting trim and healthy, check out Yoga by the Bay with Erin, this Saturday the 5th. This FREE, one-hour class runs from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Bayfront Park in Sarasota.

Saturday, February 5th: Flea at Big Top
Support local artisans and vendors this weekend at 73° Flea, a favorite local popup shop. This Saturday, 73° Flea is appearing at Big Top Brewing Company, where you can enjoy live music, cold brews, hot food, and more!

Sunday, February 6th: Beach Market at Coquina Beach
If you’re still in the mood to shop, there are lots more open market events in Sarasota to enjoy! This weekend, check out the Beach Market at Coquina Beach, along nearby Bradenton Beach. You can find a wealth of options and items, including handmade jewelry and other accessories, clothes, pottery, paintings, and other great choices.

Sunday, February 6th: Giving Hunger the Blues
There are plenty of charitable things to do this weekend in Sarasota, including Giving Hunger the Blues at Nathan Benderson Park. This annual festival includes a full lineup of blues bands you’re sure to love.
All proceeds from the concert benefit the Mayors Feed the Hungry Program. This program provides food vouchers to various outlets, which then distribute them throughout the year.

Sunday, February 6th: Start Me Up: A Tribute to the Rolling Stones
If you’re a Rolling Stones fan, you will probably never see a better tribute band than Start Me Up! This band provides a full-energy show that’s as close to a real Stones concert as you’ll ever get.
