Despite the shorter daylight hours, there are still lots of great upcoming events in Sarasota you can enjoy this weekend! While November might mean less sunlight throughout the day, it also means cooler weather that allows you to get outside and enjoy some amazing area attractions.

Friday-Sunday, November 12th-14th: Siesta Key Sand Sculpting Festival

This weekend you can enjoy the creations of 24 amazingly talented sand sculpting pros, all of whom are eager to showcase their extraordinary creations on Siesta Key Beach! This festival features timed competitions and lots of prize money, so you know the participants will be at the top of their game.

The event also features sand sculpting demonstrations and lessons, live music, food trailers, and a barefoot beach bar party tent. You can relax with a cold drink or join in the voting throughout the weekend, ensuring a great time for everyone! Friday-Sunday, November 12th-14th: Florida Countryfest 2021

Florida Countryfest is the place to be if you love country music! This three-day festival will feature hours of live music as well as food, crafts, and a kid zone. If you need some things to do in Sarasota with the kids but that will also keep the adults entertained, be sure to check it out!

There will also be vendors selling lots of arts and crafts for you to enjoy, including handmade artwork and more. Sunday, November 14th: The Vintage Flea at Ginny and Jane E’s

There are lots more weekend events in 2021 that offer a chance to stock up on unique items for the upcoming holidays! The Vintage Flea at Ginny and Jane E’s is a well-known Sarasota flea market, offering a wide range of vendors and shops you can browse.

Saturday-Sunday, November 13th and 14th: St. Armands Circle Art Festival

The St. Armands City Art Festival is an excellent venue for art lovers and especially those who want to support local artisans from the Sarasota area. The festival always includes a wide array of art choices, including sculpture, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and more.

Saturday, November 13th: Yoga with Butterflies

If you’re searching for things to do this weekend in Sarasota that can help you get into shape even before your New Year’s resolutions kick in, check out Yoga With Butterflies! Held at Fruitville Grove Farm Stand this Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m., the class is an excellent choice for increasing flexibility while getting the blood flowing.

If you’re looking for things to do in Sarasota at night, check out The Great American Trailer Park Musical! This fun-filled performance is set in Starke, Florida, and features great commentary on everything from agoraphobia to ‘80s nostalgia, spray cheese, kleptomania, and disco, and everything in between.

Saturday, November 13th: Suncoast Food and Wine Fest

The Suncoast Food and Wine Fest is the best choice for “foodies” this weekend and for anyone looking to sample fare from a local restaurant before committing to visit! The festival showcases hundreds of food and wine selections from some 40 local restaurants and eateries, letting you enjoy samples from a wide range of menu options.

Saturday, November 13th: Sarasota Medieval Festival

There is no better way to enjoy the milder autumn weather than with an outdoor medieval festival! This festival features live shows as well as some 100 or more artisans, with handmade items you can browse. This year’s theme is Scottish, so be sure to wear your best tartan plaid and come ready to be entertained!
