The city and surrounding areas always offer lots of shows and live entertainment, as well as a variety of indoor and outdoor activities perfect for the entire family.

Saturday, August 14th: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra
If you miss the sound of the legendary Frank Sinatra, now is your chance to experience his music live in concert! You can check out the amazing The Frank and Dean Experience, a beloved cover band tribute to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, at the Sarasota Car Museum, this Saturday the 14th from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Now thru Saturday, August 14th: Summer Circus Spectacular!
Showcasing some of the best circus acts from around the world, the Summer Circus Spectacular is a great event if you need things to do in Sarasota with kids, or if you’re just a kid at heart. Held at the historic Asolo Theater in Sarasota, the circus is already performing and will offer showtimes through this Saturday the 14th.

Saturday, August 14th: Kilt Night With Black Velvet Band
You don’t need to wait for St. Patrick’s Day to enjoy some rousing Irish troubadours! This Saturday the 14th, from 7 to 10 p.m., you can check out Kilt Night with Black Velvet Band and their Celtic music at Pub 32 in Sarasota.

Friday, August 13th: Amandah Jantzen
There are always lots of things to do in Sarasota at night, and this weekend is no exception! Friday, August 13th, from 6 to 9 p.m., you can check out jazz performer Amandah Jantzen at Amore Restaurant in Sarasota.

Friday, August 13th: Bri Rivera

Sunday, August 15th: Florida Sunday Ride
If you need some fitness related upcoming events in Sarasota, check out the Florida Sunday Ride, hosted by the First Responders Cycling Club. This ride covers some 32 miles of track throughout Sarasota and surrounding areas, giving you a great opportunity to stretch your legs and enjoy the time on your bike with fellow cycling enthusiasts.
The ride begins at 10 a.m. at the Sarasota Christian School parking lot in Sarasota. The route is mapped out as it’s intended as a “no drop,” meaning no scheduled breaks tour, allowing you to take whatever breaks are needed for yourself individually. Saturday and Sunday, August 14th and 15th: Sarasota Gun Show
Held at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, this weekend’s gun show is an excellent chance for shooters of all walks of life to share their experiences, get some expert tips, and stock up on needed firearms. Doors open both days at 9 a.m. and close Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Saturday, August 14th: Sarasota Farmers Market
Located at Lemon Avenue and State Street in Sarasota, the Farmers Market offers an array of vendors you’re sure to love. You can pick up some farm fresh, locally grown produce as well as any number of homemade items including jams and jellies, pastries, artwork, jewelry, and more. The market opens at 7 a.m. and typically closes at 1 p.m.
