Friday the 16th through Sunday the 18th: Taste of UTC Spring Edition
Held at the Town Mall at the University Town Center, the Taste of UTC Spring Edition is a favorite of food lovers everywhere, and an excellent weekend event in 2021 if you’re looking for a unique date idea. The Taste of UTC features a variety of gourmet menu items, sure to fit your palate and budget. You can enjoy sushi from JPAN Grille or a selection of fresh fish from Bonefish Grille, as well as steak and other seafood fare.
As always, there is also a desert option for those with a sweet tooth! The event starts at 11 a.m. and runs until the mall closes at 11 p.m. The event is free to browse, and you can purchase your menu choices in person. Saturday April 17th: Limelight Market
Every third Saturday, the Limelight Market offers a unique bazaar featuring a small collection of local artisans, vendors, and musicians. This Saturday you can enjoy browsing handmade gifts including jewelry and artwork, as well as locally harvested honey, produce, and much more.

Saturday April 17th: S.M.L. Food Trucks Festival
Whatever your taste in food, you’re sure to find something to enjoy at this weekend’s S.M.L. Food Trucks Festival. Held at the Fruitville Grove Farmers Market and starting at noon, this festival offers a wide range of food trucks each providing their own unique cuisine.
Along with food trucks, there will be live music and outdoor activities, making this festival an excellent option if you need some things to do in Sarasota with the kids! There will be a petting zoo, rock climbing, and even country line dancing, a sure hit with everyone in the family. Saturday April 17th: Vintage POP!
Vintage POP! features cabaret favorite Carole J. Bufford in an exploration of pop music from the roaring 20s to the soaring 80s, including covers of songs from Jerry Lee Lewis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many others. The show is offered twice on Saturday, from 2-3:30 p.m. and then again at 6-7:30 p.m.

Saturday April 17th: World Circus Day
There are even more great things to do in Sarasota with kids this weekend, including a celebration of World Circus Day on Saturday the 17th! Sarasota is home to The Ringling, a museum dedicated to the Ringling Brothers and the world of circuses they made possible for everyone to enjoy.
This Saturday you can visit the museum and grounds and enjoy two mini shows, one at 1 p.m. and another at 3 p.m., as well as historic circus films by Buster Bailey all day. There will also be special circus themed refreshments available, including corn dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy.

Saturday April 17th: Zumba at the Park
If you need some things to do this weekend in Sarasota that will help get you fit and moving once again after last year’s long lockdowns, you can’t find a better option than Zumba at the Park! Zumba is a great fitness routine, combining dance and aerobic moves that will get your heart pumping and your energy levels soaring.
Held at Bendeson Park, the class starts at 10 a.m. and is only $5 to participate. Organizers ask that you bring your own mat, water, and whatever else you need to participate. Sunday April 18th: 51st Annual Deveraux-Kaiser Car Show
If you love cars and motorcycles, or vehicles of any kind, the 51st Annual Deveraux-Kaiser Car Show is the place to be this weekend! Held at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, this annual car show always showcases a wealth of vehicles both old and new, along with a chance to mix and mingle with the owners and make new car loving friends.

Sunday April 18th: Beer Yoga
There is no better combination to keep you fit while having fun than beer and yoga! This weekend’s Beer Yoga class, held at the Big Top Brewing Company, includes a glass of beer (or cider) before, during, or after the event. If you choose to enjoy during class, the beer will actually be worked into many of the poses!
The class runs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and is only $10, which includes your beer or cider. Organizers ask that you bring your own mat, blocks, and other accessories, as well as water for hydration.
