Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11th – St. Armand’s Circle Art Festival

The St. Armand’s Circle Art Festival features a range of gallery style booths showcasing a wide variety of art from local artisans. Along with décor for your home, you can often find handmade and handcrafted apparel, jewelry, and life-sized sculptures!

Anyone searching for artsy Sarasota events in 2021 will not want to miss this festival, rescheduled from its original January date. The festival is in St. Armand’s Circle mall, and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, April 10th – Yoga at Crowley Museum

There is no better way to start your weekend than with a Saturday morning yoga routine! With the lockdowns of 2020 now behind us, it’s time to get out and get some exercise and refresh your fitness routine, and many weekend events in 2021 offer a chance to do just that.

Held at the Crowley Museum and Nature Center and starting at 10:30 a.m., this yoga class is easy to follow for anyone no matter your fitness levels. Admission is just $16, and guests are asked to bring their own mat and blocks. Instruction includes purposeful breathing and focus, as well as simple poses. Friday, April 9th through Sunday, April 11th – Sarasota Bradenton Spring Home Show

If you realize after the 2020 lockdowns that your home needs a bit of sprucing up, you don’t want to miss the Sarasota Bradenton Spring Home Show this weekend! Sarasota Youth Sailing, or SYS, offers sailing instruction to youngsters and puts on an annual regatta, or boat races, for students and other participants every year. The regatta is an excellent weekend event in 2021 for anyone who loves sailing or racing, or both, or who just wants to get outside and watch the kids compete!

Saturday, April 10th – Starlight Movie Night, “Bad News Bears”

If you’re ready to enjoy watching a movie once again but aren’t quite ready to hit the theater, check out the Starlight Movie Night showing of “Bad News Bears,” this Saturday the 10th at the Manatee Performing Arts Center. This 1976 classic film will be shown outdoors, allowing guests to sit in the fresh air or comfort of their cars and enjoy the movie while staying safe.

The movie starts at 7:15 p.m. and runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes. If you plan on sitting outside, bring your own chairs or blankets. Saturday, April 10th – Food Truck Rally

Another great idea for things to do in Sarasota with the kids is the Food Truck Rally, scheduled for Saturday the 10th starting at 5 p.m. and running until 10 p.m. This rally is held outside the Big Top Brewing Company on Porter Way in Sarasota, and is free to attend.

Sometimes called the greatest food truck rally on earth, you can enjoy some freshly made cuisine from a wide variety of food trucks, including authentic Cuban fair, gumbo and other seafood, and much more. Through Sunday the 11th: Bradenton Fair

If you’re looking for fun for the whole family, you can’t go wrong with the Bradenton Fair, which began in March and runs through Sunday the 11th. The fair offers a variety of rides and games as well as food vendors and much more.
